Making a will in Spain
The execution of a will is neither necessary nor a legally binding act, but
we do consider that it is advisable, because in the event of any owner of
a spanish property deceasing this will avoid a long and costly inheritance
procedure, which will be greatly simplified for the heirs, by signing a
Spanish will.
Therefore, if a Spanish solicitor deals with your affairs in this country,
and you sign a Will, your assets in Spain are taken care of, in accordance
with the law of the country, so that your affairs are dealt with in a more
efficient, faster (approximately one month) and much cheaper manner.
Although it is not necessary, it is highly advisable.
